Modern FPGA devices can require over a dozen power rails, with some rails delivering up to 40 amps. In addition, FPGA power rails have tight regulation requirements and require synchronization. Our broad product portfolio offers flexibility for your designs, and our complete, proven power solutions and design tools can drastically reduce your design time.

Solutions and Design Resources

Our switching regulators have been designed into numerous third party FPGA development and reference platforms. Schematics for these designs are available from the links below. In addition, we have been selected by Xilinx as the preferred power supplier for some of their key, high performance reference designs. These power designs are also available for your use.

Power Management ICs and POLs
Our highly integrated power ICs provide complete power supply solutions for the latest FPGAs and MPSoCs.   High integration power management ICs (PMICs) provide all the rails needed to power high-performance FPGAs and MPSoCs while minimizing power consumption and board space. Our high power density single-chip switching regulators provide extremely compact, high-efficiency point-of-load (POL) power-delivery. Both solutions can be combined with our multiple-output switching regulators to support the power supply needs of virtually any FPGA-based system.

PMBus Multiphase Chipset
Our PMBus™-configurable chipset leverages our multiphase voltage regulator technology to deliver maximum power density in an ultra-compact solution, ideal for high current rails like VCCINT. It also satisfies the most stringent performance requirements, such as very low jitter to power Multi-Gigabit Transceiver (MGT) rails.
