Maxim Empowers Design Innovation at Sensors Converge 2021

At Maxim Integrated, now part of Analog Devices, we understand that sensors and electronics are changing the world and Sensors Converge gives us a great opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with you. Join us and you can be part of that change. Talk to our technology experts who will help you discover our extensive portfolio of healthcare sensors that provide continuous vital-sign monitoring at various body locations and in a wide range of applications. We will also demonstrate our groundbreaking low-power artificial intelligence (AI) camera cube reference design, our robust, low-power error-correcting/detecting MCU and our high-sensitivity infrared (IR) gesture sensor that makes driving safer for all types of vehicles.

Healthcare

Sensors to Monitor Your Vital Signs How, When and Where You Want

At Maxim Integrated, we believe that detection is better than the cure so we designed our healthcare sensors to look for warning flags so you can start treating the problem before it even develops. Whether your products are used in traditional clinical settings or in new, innovative form factors and use cases, our differentiated solutions will help you accelerate time to market. Our sensors monitor HR, HRV, SpO2 and blood pressure at multiple body locations whether you’re at home or on the go. Our healthcare demos include:

  • Health Sensor Platform 3.0
  • Best-in-Class Optical Pulse Oximeter and Heart-Rate Sensor AFE for Wearable Health
  • Wrist-Based SpO2 and HR Wearable
  • Wrist-Based Afib Detection Device
  • In-ear Biometric Sensing with In-Cradle Communication
  • Wearable Health Power Management
  • Clinical-Grade Vital Sign AFE
  • Blood Pressure Trending via PPG Sensor
  • ECG Chest Strap for 24/7 Continuous Monitoring

Automotive

High Sensitivity Gesture Sensor Lets You Keep Your Hands on the Controls that Matter Most

The MAX25405 next-generation optical sensor recognizes a variety of gestures in a quarter of the size and at 10x lower cost than camera-based time-of-flight systems in multi-range automotive, consumer and industrial applications. In automotive applications, these enhancements offer an alternative to voice communications, allowing drivers to spend more time focusing on the road.

Micros & Security

A New Breed of Micros enables low-power AI for low-cost IoT

Our MAXREFDES178# camera cube reference design demonstrates how Artificial intelligence (AI) applications previously limited to machines with large power and cost budgets can be embedded in space-constrained, battery-powered edge devices. The MAXREFDES178# enables ultra-low-power internet of things (IoT) devices to implement hearing and vision and showcases the MAX78000 low-power microcontroller with neural network accelerator for audio and video inferences.

We also demonstrate bit-flip detection/correction with error-code correction (ECC) using our MAX32670 MCU. This robust, low-power microcontroller allows you to single-error correct and/or double-error detect bit-flips caused by alpha particles
