    Description

    The MAX5089 evaluation kit (EV kit) is a fully assembled and tested circuit board that evaluates the MAX5089 synchronous buck converter IC with an integrated high-side n-channel MOSFET. The MAX5089 EV kit is configured as a buck converter that operates over a wide 5.5V to 16V input voltage range, and provides up to 2A at the 3.3V output.

    The MAX5089 IC features a SYNC input to provide external frequency synchronization for noise-sensitive applications and a PGOOD output signal that can be used as a system reset signal during power-up. The EV kit provides PC pads to evaluate the SYNC and PGOOD features. The MAX5089 can operate over the -40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range.
