DeepCover® embedded security solutions cloak sensitive data under multiple layers of advanced physical security to provide the most secure key storage possible.

The DeepCover MAXQ1744 is an ultra-low power microcontroller that integrates a triple-track magnetic stripe reader, SPI and I2C interfaces, AES and TDEA encryption engines, one pair of dynamic tamper sensors, a precision oscillator.

MAXQ1744 is designed to provide a high level of security for the magnetic stripe reader by placing a secure microcontroller with high-speed hardware encryption inside the magnetic card reader head.

MAXQ1744 is designed to power up automatically upon connection of power and start monitoring the magnetic stripe head. In this mode, MAXQ1744 enters a low power mode, allowing instant reaction to a magnetic card swipe while still maximizing battery life of the connected host device.
