MediaTek Taps Into GMSL SerDes Technology for Automotive Infotainment Solution
Description
The MAX9286 evaluation kit (EV kit) provides a proven design to evaluate the MAX9286 quad 1.5Gbps gigabit multimedia serial link (GMSL) deserializer with spread spectrum and full-duplex control channel with the use of a standard FAKRA coax cable. The EV kit also includes Windows XP®-, Windows Vista®-, and Windows 7-compatible software that provides a simple graphical user interface (GUI) for exercising the features of the device. The EV kit comes with the MAX9286GTN+ IC installed at U1.
For complete GMSL evaluation using a standard FAKRA coax cable, order the MAX9286 coax EV kit and a companion serializer board (e.g., the MAX9271 coax EV kit). For evaluating with STP cable, also order the MAXCOAX2STP-HSD adapter kit and refer to its data sheet. Only one adapter kit is needed per link (connecting serializer and deserializer boards).
