Real-Time Clocks in Small Packages
Discrete real-time clock (RTC) ICs are generally used when an integrated RTC cannot meet certain design constraints, such as power use and accuracy. Traditionally, RTC designs with discrete parts have required an inordinate amount of board space. Maxim's RTC ICs save board space in three ways, while meeting an array of power and accuracy requirements.
- Small package (small)
- Integrated crystal (smaller)
- Integrated MEMS oscillator (smallest)
