APPLICATION NOTE 4879
73S1215F, 73S1217F USB CCID Guidelines
Abstract:This application note contains guidelines for the use of the Teridian 73S1215F and 73S1217F system-on-chip (SoC) smart card readers in a USB environment, particularly for Microsoft® Windows XP® and PCs. This article aids customers in the development of smart card reader applications specific to their environment. In the Windows® environment, the customer may employ either the enhanced chip/smart card reader interface device (CCID) USB client driver or the Microsoft-supplied CCID USB client driver. Firmware is provided as ANSI C source code and Keil® µVision®2/3 project files so that the customer can modify and enhance the application to meet their requirements.
