Proper Filtering and Grounding of DeepCover Secure Microcontroller (Zatara ZA9L0/ZA9L1) Devices

Abstract: This application note discusses grounding techniques for DeepCover® Secure Microcontrollers (Zatara® ZA9L0 and Zatara ZA9L1). Special attention is given to FCC Class B criteria. The sources of radiation are explained and methods to suppress unwanted radiation are introduced. The radiation test is done with the recommended design in a single-layer board and the test results are shown at the end.
