MAX8640Y/MAX8640Z降压转换器经过优化,适合需要优先考虑小尺寸、高效率和低输出纹波的应用。它们采用专利的PWM控制方案,通过优化开关频率,使用小尺寸外部元件即可获得高效率,并且在所有负载条件下都保持低输出纹波。MAX8640Z的开关频率高达4MHz,从而允许使用微型的1µH电感和2.2µF输出电容。为了获得更高效率,MAX8640Y的开关频率高达2MHz,仍允许使用小尺寸的2.2µH和4.7µF元件。输出电流保证达到500mA,而静态电流仅28µA (典型)。工厂预设的输出电压为0.8V至2.5V,可以省去外部反馈元件。

内置同步整流功能大大提高了效率,并省去了常规降压型转换器中所必需的外部肖特基二极管。内部快速软启动功能可以消除浪涌电流,降低对输入电容的要求。

MAX8640Y/MAX8640Z采用纤小的6引脚SC70无铅封装(2.0mm x 2.1mm)和µDFN (1.5mm x 1.0mm)封装。两种封装均为无铅封装。
