MAX5969B评估板(EV kit)是完全安装并经过测试的表贴电路板,评估用于IEEE® 802.3af/at兼容以太网供电(PoE)系统的以太网端口、网络用电设备(PD)接口控制器。该评估板采用10引脚TDFN封装的MAX5969B IEEE 802.3af/at兼容网络PD接口控制器IC。MAX5969B用于需要从以太网端口获取PD所需直流电源的PoE系统,如:IP电话、无线接点以及安全摄像机等。

评估板从IEEE 802.3af/at兼容供电设备(PSE)获取电源,有关PSE控制器的信息请参考MAX5965和MAX5971 IC数据资料。PSE通过连接到评估板RJ45插座的非屏蔽双绞线以太网电缆提供所需的-30V至-57V直流电源。评估板带有1个1 x 1GbE RJ45插座和两个二极管桥,分别用于端点或中跨以太网系统提供的直流电源。

评估板还可由墙上适配器供电。评估板上提供了连接墙上适配器电源输出的PCB焊盘,当检测到墙上适配器电源时,其供电等级优于PSE电源,允许墙上适配器为评估板供电。

评估板用于演示IC的全部功能,例如:PD侦测、PD分级、浪涌电流控制以及输入欠压锁定(UVLO)。评估板还提供只与以太网数据信号连接的RJ45插座模块。

评估板还具有一个电隔离型22.7W、600kHz开关频率的反激式DC-DC转换器,采用MAX15000A电流模式PWM控制器构成。IC输出为转换器电路供电。DC-DC转换器配置为+12V输出,可提供高达1.9A的电流。采用单晶体管反激式DC-DC转换器拓扑,可以获得89%的效率。表贴变压器为输出提供高达+1500V的电气隔离。UVLO、软启动和热关断提供可靠的22.7W隔离电源。DC-DC转换器工作在600kHz,允许采用小型磁性元件和小尺寸输出电容。评估板还可以通过替换IC (U1)对MAX5969A进行评估。
