MAX5952A评估板(EV kit)是完全安装并经过测试的表面安装电路板,具有以太网4端口供电设备(PSE)电路,适用于-48V供电系统。MAX5952A兼容于IEEE 802.3af和pre-802.3at标准的PSE控制器采用36引脚SSOP封装。评估板上的4个n沟道功率MOSFET用于构成主供电设备电路。MAX5952A用于需要通过4个以太网端口提供直流电源的以太网供电(PoE)产品。评估板为I²C兼容的3线串口提供光耦隔离。隔离接口通过CMAXQUSB接口板连接至PC的USB口。评估板也可以很方便地与用户的微控制器连接,工作在隔离或非隔离模式。单机工作模式下,用户还必须提供独立的3.3V、100mA电源,用于评估板的数字逻辑电路和+3.3V光隔离3线接口供电。

MAX5952A评估板需要-32V至-60V供电电源(-48V电源),并能够为评估板提供4A或更大的电流,通过4个10/100BASE-TX以太网端口为受电设备(PD)供电。评估板具有PD侦测、分级、限流控制以及IEEE 802.3af、pre-802.3at兼容的其它PSE功能。

MAX5952A通过控制每个端口的功率MOSFET,并对每个端口检流电阻流过的电流进行检测,实现-48V直流电源到4个以太网端口的管理。电流送入每个以太网输出端口的10/100BASE-TX VoIP磁模块。MAX5952A评估板为4个以太网输出端口的每一路提供独立供电。

评估板可用于演示每个供电通道下MAX5952A的全部功能,例如可配置工作模式、大功率模式(每端口最高可设置为45W)、通过I²C接口获取端口的电流信息、PD侦测、PD分级、过流保护、折返式限流、欠压/过压保护以及交流开路监测等功能。所有这些功能都可以在评估板上配置,并提供额外的测试点用于电压侦测和电流测量。

评估软件与Windows® 98SE/2000/XP兼容,并具有友好的用户界面,用于演示MAX5952A的性能,另外,还允许访问每个寄存器位。程序采用菜单驱动,提供带有控制按钮的图形界面。程序还包括宏驱动,允许进行MAX5952A的系统级自动评估及测试。程序宏输出文件可自动保存。
