MAX17582评估板(EV kit)用于演示大功率、可动态调节的多相IMVP-6.5笔记本电脑CPU应用电路。该款DC-DC转换器对高压电池和/或交流适配器进行降压转换,产生高精度、低压CPU核的VCC电源。MAX17582评估板满足Intel移动IMVP-6.5 CPU的瞬态电压响应要求,提供电源就绪指示信号、电压调节器热监测(/VRHOT)和电源就绪输出(PWRGD)。MAX17582评估板由MAX17582 2相错相工作的Quick-PWM™降压控制器组成。MAX17582评估板包括带可调增益的有源电压定位,可有效降低功耗以及对大尺寸输出电容的需求。摆率控制器支持VID码之间的受控转换,提供受控的软启动、关断以及退出挂起模式的电压。精确的摆率控制确保“及时”建立新的DAC设置,使流入和流出电池的浪涌电流降至最低。

两个专用的系统输入(/PSI和DPRSLPVR)可动态选择工作模式和有效相数,优化CPU在工作状态和休眠状态的整体效率。

MAX17582提供锁存输出欠压故障保护、过压故障保护和热过载保护。器件还包含电压调节器电源就绪(PWRGD)输出、时钟使能(/CLKEN)输出、电流监测器(IMON)输出和相位就绪(PHASEGD)输出。

评估板经过完全安装和测试,在7V至24V电池输入范围内提供数字可调节的0至1.5000V输出电压(7位板载DAC)。每相设计可提供20A (热保护)连续电流以及30A峰值输出电流,总峰值输出电流高达60A。MAX17582评估板工作在300kHz开关频率(每相),具有优异的电源和负载瞬态响应。
