MAX72018C是新一代增强型18-PHY串行连接SCSI-2 (SAS-2)兼容扩展器,工作于1.5Gbps、3.0Gbps和6.0Gbps (基于PHY-by-PHY基础架构)。器件适用于需要有效SAS端口扩展的服务器、机箱等中等规模和企业级存储系统。

器件为目前采用并行SCSI技术、主要依赖SCSI中心软件控制或管理方案的系统提供了创新的升级途径。器件组合了业内领先的I/O、嵌入式机箱功能以及高性能内部切换架构,提供设计、开发、部署高性能SAS存储系统所需的所有功能。
