连续正气压呼吸机(CPAP)

连续正气压呼吸机(CPAP)是一种用于治疗睡眠呼吸暂停症的主要手段。

CPAP呼吸机包括一个小型风机,用于产生一定的正空气压力,该气压被引入睡眠呼吸暂停症患者的口腔,保持呼吸道敞开,缓解或消除呼吸暂停症状。

市场上可以获取的CPAP设计较多,功能各异。大多数设备的面罩压力可调,部分CPAP可根据检测到的呼吸暂停事件自动调节压力;有些根据呼吸循环自动调节压力,呼气时减小压力。有些CPAP带一个水箱,能够增加空气湿度。

CPAP呼吸机包括气压可调节风机,气压变化由微控制器嵌入式系统控制。嵌入式系统包含空气监测传感器和电机控制传感器。

面罩压力由输入传感器监测,测量温度、湿度和压力。与电机相关的传感器包括:电机绕组电流输入检测和电机电压检测,此外,还有温度传感器等。

系统输出包括:电机速度、蜂鸣报警或语音报警。

用户界面主要包括开/关、压力控制按钮,压力指示。对于较昂贵的系统,系统指示可使用背光LED实现,价位较低的系统可使用简单的信号灯LED。

有些CPAP呼吸机为电池供电的便携式设计,但大多数采用电网供电(床头插座)。电网供电设备也可以包括电池备份,以便在断电时正常工作。

空气面罩监测信号链


呼吸监测通道包括温度、湿度和压力传感器。压力读数是保证设备工作的基础,湿度和温度监测则可保证系统的安全性。

传感器可提供I2C输出或模拟输出。带有I2C输出的传感器直接连接至微控制器;带有模拟输出的传感器可以为低电平(mV)输出或高电平(0至5V)输出。通常情况下,这些信号通过运放连接至多通道ADC,将信号转换为数字信号。然后通过I2C或SPI等串行接口将信号送至微控制器。关于适合该应用的推荐信号链产品,请参考框图

该应用中,温度和压力范围相当窄。预期温度范围为+50°F至+110°F,预期压力范围为4至20毫巴。如果需要监测湿度,则湿度范围为40%至80%。由于范围较窄、采样率相对较低,模拟信号链可使用低成本多通道10位或12位模/数转换器,实现相应的检测性能。请查阅INL指标,确保所选ADC的精度满足需求。选择预算范围内INL最低的产品,并且也要具备必要的分辨率。如果传感器为毫伏输出,也要选择噪声指标优于ADC的运放。

电机控制和监测


空气面罩压力传感器输入用于控制风机速度。风机电机的转速一般为1k RPM至最高30或40k RPM,以获取需要的压力。这是非常高的转速,并且CPAP应用要求转速变化非常快。所以,必须监测电机绕组电流,确保电机不会严重过载。

通常监测电机输入电压,以确保电源和电池处于正常状态。电压监测可由电压检测芯片或简单比较器完成。

电机绕组的电流范围为0A至2A。所以,12位ADC一般可提供所需分辨率,达毫伏范围。ADC必须工作在较高速度,对最高电机转速进行采样。电机电流首先连接至电流检测放大器,将电流值转换为电压并放大。

Maxim的电流检测放大器和ADC通常用于监测绕组电流。请参考框图,了解满足电机控制和监测功能的Maxim IC。

电源


尽管有些设备仅由电池供电,但多数CPAP设备使用电网供电,带有备份电池。

电机一般使用12V至24V的标准直流电压。所以,电池必须为多节原电池的电池组,并且通常位于CPAP机壳外部。多节Li+电池必须具有电池均衡以及电池充电、电量计。

一般电源利用墙上适配器获得12VDC或24VDC,电流大约为2A——足以供电机全速工作。内部电源由开关稳压器和LDO提供,以获得所需的电压。CPAP应用中使用的电池一般位于CPAP外壳外部。

Maxim降压型调节器和LDO可从输入直流电压产生IC所需的电源电压。此外,Maxim电池充电器、电池均衡器和电量计可用于电池管理。
